Case Study 1: Online Food Ordering System

Traditional business of restaurants works in two different ways, one of them is dine-in and another being take away. Both the channels of restaurants are not enough to make good amount of business. With the advent of online systems, one of the idea was to reach out to customers through app or website. Major challenge came up during the brainstorming sessions with client, was food wastage and client retention.

Client was more concerned about 30 KG of food wastage every day. How do we tackle the issue? How do we make sure that we should only stock the food which has equal or more consumption?

Client was also concerned about order booking being quick and automated, which will help the chef to prepare food immediately. This will make the customers more happy and will remain loyal to the restaurant.

During our brainstorming session with client, we discussed option of on time delivery, home delivery and tracking delivery. Feedback was another challenge which came up during our discussion.

Case Study 2: On Demand Delivery System

With boom in mobile sales, order booking and real time delivery has become very common now a days. This generally involves customer and service provider where customer orders items like food, car or any service online and able to track the delivery or status real time.

This helps service provider to receive orders and fulfill them with a click of button. This solution is backed back a strong system of finance, inventory, resource availability and notification updates.

Service providers face challenges such as approaching customers or providing quality service to customers. While customers face different set of challenges such as finding trusted service provider, cost effective and quick service.

There are multiple solutions currently available in market like Uber, Grubhub, Doordash, Ola, Swiggy, Grofers which provides on demand delivery to their customers. These apps and websites have proven time and again that there is a dire need of Quality service and Timely delivery.

Case Study 3: Social Networking for Sharing Information

Facebook and Whatsapp giving way to becoming social. There is a need to socialize among like-minded people, so is the need to stay connected for work, business or hobbies. There are smaller communities like group of techies, hobby makers, photographers and such others who love to stay connected, chat with each other. Meetups or events are organized, invites are sent, everybody gathers, and disperse within an hour or two.

Social networking is a need of an hour where group shares photos, video calls or audio-video clips, information about news, current trends. People love sharing, commenting, updating profile pics. Members in groups loves to chat one to one or in groups.

The challenge is to create smaller communities who share same hobbies. Hobbies may include anything under sun. These people sharing same hobbies will share videos, photos, chat, comment or share content among other social networking groups. Someone may want to start a new Hobby group and create another small community within same region.

Expert choice can be based on the work profile and amount earned till date. Consulting app comes up with nice feature of VOIP calling, Chat with expert and Messaging in app.

App where two parties are involved where one party pays for consuming the service and another party subscribes to be a partner of the platform. This scenario is now common when we look at apps like Uber, GrubHub. These apps are on demand, but for time being if we eliminate the need of real time tracking, the app will have all the features like Consulting apps. The idea here was to develop app for users and website for administrators of the platform.

Client discussed features of Twilio VOIP calling, Chat and Payment gateway integration while discussing the app development features. It also included Use case where the platform deducts commission and gives auto payment to Experts in real time. This auto deduction is a facility of Stripe new payment technology.
